It a feeling of hanging with your good friends and meeting new ones. I enjoy tipping and spreading the wealth when I’m there. Dancing and fun mixed with friends and family. It feels good, it feels nice, is like a warm blanket on a cold night.

I had an issue with a dinner reservation that was made on Saturday night, texted Cinidi and she within 10 mins helped me out and we were eating our Shrimp Kisses in no time! She was available when and if I needed her for anything and she made our weekend truly memorable. It was so much fun and just a great time! Lastly our Host Cindi was truly amazing! She helped book our room with ease. And the pool was always hop-pin, great music with a DJ on Saturday made us feel like sitting poolside in XS at the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas.

Let me go ahead and say this my wife and I had “the best couples weekend we could have asked for!” Starting off with the food…every restaurant was on point and the food was tasty all the way down to the Mahi-mahi at Landry’s! Amazing! My wife and I both play slots and table games we each hit Jackpots on our slot machine play (see pics below) and my wife hit her lucky number not once but three times while we played roulette( #15). If you are looking to find the best casino/hotel in Louisiana, look no further than the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles.… Any Texan who makes the extra 45 minute drive to Coushatta will only find tight slots, higher minimums on table games, unhappy employees, and a dirty hotel. Another interesting fact is that the slots here are actually looser than those at Coushatta! The table minimums are also lower here.
The dealers and supervisors at the table games are friendly and actually seem to be happy to be there, unlike Coushatta and the other casino/hotels. Like all hotels in Louisiana, housekeeping is still on COVID protocol, but anything and everything was just a phone call away and was delivered promptly.
Our room had a beautiful view of the beach, and we actually spent time looking out with the sliding door open. Last week my wife and I celebrated her 50th birthday by spending 4 days at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles.
